Its sales history records a general-warranty-deed transfer on April 29, 2024, from Sherman Daniel L. to Black Diamond Nelsonville LLC for $102,500. The parcel record lists the LLC as the current owner.
Timing in relation to public office
Sherman was a Nelsonville council member before the transaction and sought another four-year term in November 2023. The official election results show he received 301 votes and was not among the three candidates elected. The property sale occurred nearly six months after that election. The records currently reviewed therefore do not support describing the April 2024 payment as money received “while in office.”
Redevelopment status shown by the record
The Auditor’s current parcel page lists “No Permit Records Found” and “No Improvement Records Found.” More than two years after the recorded sale, the public parcel record reviewed by this archive does not document a completed rehabilitation.
The absence of entries on the Auditor’s page is not the same as a comprehensive search of every City building, zoning, inspection, or code-enforcement file. Dated photographs and those municipal records should be added before the building’s present physical condition is stated as an official finding.
